My media life

Media is a really big part of our everyday life nowadays. We are in touch with every corner of the world all the time and we know what is happening around us. When I think about word “media” it makes me think of radio, TV and internet. Media is a really big part of my everyday life and I use it all the time. I post things to different platforms of internet and listen to radio when driving to work.  

My first touch with media and learning more about it was in elementary school. We were reading newspapers and we were learning how to use the internet safely. Also many exercises were online.

I do not order paper newspapers or magazines, but I read online newspapers daily. I really like to watch TV when I’m home and usually in the background when I’m cooking or cleaning. In Finland we have news coming for example 22 pm every night and I like to stay up until the last news of the day comes.  

Internet is the most important media for me. It’s important because I can be in touch with my family and friends. It is also very important when doing school projects. Apps like WhatsApp, SnapChat and Instagram are in my everyday use. As a media user I would describe myself careful and I really do think before posting what I am posting and writing to the internet.  

I would say I enjoy sharing content to social media but interacting with others is also everyday thing for me. When posting something to social media, I enjoy more visuals and sharing photos of my everyday life.
